WHAT IS ASPERGER'S SYNDROME? (One child's perspective)
You can't see that I have Asperger's Syndrome, but you might notice some things about me that are a bit different.
This is because Asperger's Syndrome can make me behave or talk a bit differently from the way you might expect.
Other children with Asperger' Syndrome may be like me in some ways, but like everyone else we all have different personalities.
I have certain talents. I have a very good memory, I'm very good at maths, and I know lots of facts.
I have certain difficulties. Sometimes I find it hard to make friends, I take things you say to me literally, and I don't like unexpected change.
(All children with Asperger's syndrome are individuals with their own unique strengths and weaknesses)
